Adding a Ground Mount in Solo Studio

Ground mounts are controlled through a specific company setting. If you're not seeing this as an option in your design tool, please reach out to an SAAS Owner who can add that in MissionControl.

  1. Click on the 'Ground Mounts' step on the checklist OR click on the 'Mounts' tool on the bottom toolbar.
    1. You can also use the keyboard shortcut by clicking '7' to jump to the tool.

  2. Using the tool, click and drag to draw the mounting plane for your ground mount.

  3. Use the Inspector to set your Ground Mount details, including the Panel Settings, Orientation, and Layout.
    1. When building ground mounts, Solo typically uses a 30° pitch for ground mounted arrays.

  4. Click 'Place Panels' to automatically apply panels to your ground mount.

  5. If needed, you can also manually place panels using the 'Panels' tool on the bottom, or during the Panels step.

Once your ground mount array is as you desire, continue your design as normal!
