Changing the Equipment on Your Proposal
There are four types of equipment available on the proposal:
- Modules (panels)
- Inverters
- Batteries
- Optimizers
If needed, click the links above to jump to the related section.
Updating the Module
- There are two places you can click to change the module being used:
- The Solar Design Page, by clicking the current module.
- Opening the 'Equipment' tab of the proposal sidebar.
- The Solar Design Page, by clicking the current module.
- Use the dropdown to select a new module from your company's list.
- If you're not seeing the module you're looking for, please reach out to your manager. There may be state or lender restrictions.
- Owners: You can add new modules to your company's offering in MissionControl. Learn more HERE!
- If you change the module to one that is physically smaller or larger than what is currently selected, it will have you confirm how you'd like to accommodate the difference in size:
- Update Layout in Place: You are changing the size of the panels without changing the center point or layout of the design, so this may cause gaps in the design. Only available when new module is smaller.
- Change Module and Update Fit: Will move the panels to make sure that we don't have any problems with fitment. The center point and layout will be changed with the sizing so the design does not have gaps.
- Maxfit: Will create a new design that includes all panels that can fit with the specified orientation (portrait, landscape, staggered, etc). This will not copy the existing design.
- Click Save!
Please note: Changing the module will cause the production to re-run.

- The Solar Design Page, by clicking the current inverter.
