Enabling a Battery Adder on a Palmetto LightReach Proposal
In this article:
Checking on the Battery Adder
The battery adder checkbox on the proposal is display-only. You will select the adder by first selecting a battery on the proposal. Once a battery is added to the proposal, the adder will be automatically checked on. There are two ways to select a battery on the proposal:
- The Battery Optimization Hub

- Opening the 'Equipment' tab of the proposal sidebar

Enabling the Backup battery adder
If you see a red snack bar message on a Palmetto LightReach proposal indicating the backup battery adder is unavailable, your owner should review the current battery configuration in MissionControl.
If your company has been approved by Palmetto LightReach to sell backup batteries, you may see a "Backup battery" adder on your proposal that is greyed out.

This checkbox will be checked automatically when certain conditions are met. Follow these steps to toggle this adder as active on your proposal:
- Select a battery on your proposal. This can be done from the Battery Optimization Hub or the "Equipment" section of the sidebar.

- On the Battery Optimization Hub*, toggle the "Battery Backup Included"** on:

- Once this is toggled on, the Backup battery adder will be automatically checked.
*If you're unable to see the Battery Optimization Hub, an owner can reach out to Customer Support via email (support@gosolo.io) to get that added.
**The "Battery Backup Included" toggle will only appear if backup pricing has been added for the battery you're trying to use. Owners can add pricing for battery backup in the MissionControl portal.
