What's New
INTERNAL - Requesting API Credentials
API Credentials can be created for any company within Solo. To create a new API key, head to the integrators tab within Solo and click ‘create integrator’
The name should match the name of the company exactly for us to know which companies have an API key generated.
To share API keys, make sure to use secrets.gosolo.io for secure sharing. This will generate a secure link and decryption key you can paste into the email. There is an email template is called API Integrations - New API Key for quick email building.
To use the encryption method
Paste the API key into the section that says 'secret message' and pick an encryption length. One Day is typically long enough for the message to be read.
Click 'encrypt message' and choose a way to share. Copy and paste the one-click link and decryption key into the email template API Integrations - New API Key
In order for the company to be approved to use that API key, you will need to navigate to their company in Solo and navigate to the ‘integrations’ tab and click on ‘integrators’
Select the name of the integrator you created and click ‘add integrators’
DO NOT click on regenerate API Key unless the company using that key is aware and approves of this change. This will give them a NEW key and they will need to replace the old key in their code in order to keep the integration current.
