How to Add an Array in DirectDesign

To use this feature, you must have access to DirectDesign

  1. To add an array to your proposal's design, navigate to the Design Page and click "Edit".

  2. In the top right, use the toggle to turn DirectDesign on.

  3. Under "Info" in the side menu, click "Add New Array".

  4. Click and drag to draw a line that will determine the azimuth. The arrow should be facing the way you'd like the panels to face. 
    1. Tip: Drawing from left to right will face the array South.

  5. To add panels to the array, use the panel icon with the "+" sign, in the bottom right corner. Click to place. 
    1. To remove panels, use the panel icon with the "-", then click the panels you'd like to remove.

  6. Click "Next" in the top toolbar to confirm the array azimuth.

  7. Use the Azimuth dropdown and the "+" and "-" icons to set the azimuth to the desired degree. Then, click "Next" in the top right to move onto tilt.

  8. Use the Tilt slider to set the tilt of the array. Then click "Next" to move onto Shade. 
    1. Note: Typically, ground-mounts are installed at a tilt between 15°-40°

  9.  Use the Shade dropdown to set the shade percentage for the array. Then click Next.

  10. Now, your new array is created! Don't forget to click Save and Exit in the top right to save your changes!
