Navigating Design History

We've streamlined the process to make it easier for you to navigate and reference proposal changes in the design history!

  1. To access the change logs, navigate to the Customer's Solar Proposal Page, click on the "View" dropdown menu, and select "V5 logs." Screenshot 2025-05-21 at 11.38.50 AMScreenRecording2025-05-20at11.11.30AM-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter
  2. Within the Proposal Design History, you can view all the changes that have been made. Each change is represented by a colored chip, which indicates the specific type of modification that occurred.Screenshot 2025-05-20 at 11.13.18 AM
  3. Clicking the plus (+) sign on the far left will expand the design history, providing you with detailed information about the specific edits made, including which array has been modified. Screenshot 2025-05-20 at 11.14.35 AM
  4. You can review the specific actions taken within the proposal, such as adjustments to tilt, azimuth, panel array size, shading override, and orientation, all represented by distinct colored chips.Screenshot 2025-05-20 at 11.16.05 AM

  5. By clicking the plus (+) button next to the array name, you can further explore the changes made, which will detail the entity that was modified, the nature of the change, and the new value it was adjusted to. Screenshot 2025-05-20 at 11.18.35 AM

    1. Note: When an array is deleted, the numbering of the remaining arrays in the design remains unchanged. For instance, if there are five arrays and "Array 2" is removed, the remaining arrays will continue to be labeled as Array 1, Array 3, Array 4, and Array 5. If a new array is subsequently added, it will receive the next sequential number, ensuring that it does not replace the number of the deleted array.
      1. Users can identify whether an array has been added or deleted in DirectDesign by observing the Deactivation and Activation chips within the Design History.
        1. We know that Array 1 was deleted/deactivated because of the chip labelled "Deactivation"Screenshot 2025-05-20 at 11.29.11 AM
        2.  We see that Array 5 was added/activated because the design history includes the "Activation" chip.Screenshot 2025-05-20 at 11.29.41 AM
  6. Once you are done reviewing the design history for the proposal, press the close button. Screenshot 2025-05-20 at 11.40.29 AM
