Navigating Through Data Grids

On each data grid page, users have the flexibility to rearrange columns, apply filters to narrow down specific values, and conduct searches for particular content.

  1. First, let's go over managing columns. When we click into the column section, A dropdown will expand with a checklist of options to either add or remove from the data grid.Column-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter
    1. When a user adds an option, a new column will be instantly added to the data grid.
    2. When a user removes an option, the column will be removed to the data grid.
  1. Once you have selected the columns you wish to display, you can easily adjust each column's width by clicking and dragging the edges of the column header to your desired size. ScreenRecording2025-05-08at4.00.39PM-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter
  2. Lastly, users can sort each column by clicking on the ellipses that appears once they hover over a specific column header. Inside the dropdown, users can:
    1. Sort by ascending or descending
    2. Pin the column either to the left of the grid or the right of the grid.
    3. Access filters (see below for more details)
    4. Aggregate
    5. Group the results based on the selected column
    6. Hide the column
    7. or Access the managing columns dropdown (reviewed above)

  3. The filter feature allows users to narrow down results based on certain criteria. Create a filter based on the column, operator (contains, equals, starts with, etc.), and value.
    1. The column section enables users to refine their search results by selecting the specific column they wish to filter. For instance, using the Proposal Search as an example, if you want to filter by Proposal ID, simply ensure that "Proposal Id" is selected in the column dropdown menu. 1d2104ab-7b84-471f-bf3c-76de9cb45d0e
    2. Next, the operator section enables users to select how they will want to filter the results. You can filter the results by sorting based on if a value continues, equals, starts with, ends with and more. Screenshot 2025-05-07 at 4.58.14 PM
    3. Lastly, the Value field allows you to enter in the item(s) you are wanting to show in the results. For example, if we continue to use the Proposal Search page and want to look at all the proposals under a specific sales rep's name, we would select:
      1. Column: Sales Rep NameUntitled design (15)
      2. Operator: Equals Screenshot 2025-05-07 at 4.58.14 PM-1
      3. Value: The Sales Rep Name Untitled design (16)
Then, instantly, our results will adjust on the data grid page to show all of the proposals under a specific sales rep!

    4. Users can add multiple filters by pressing the Add Filter button.
      1. Below the first filter, a new row will appear.
      2. The distinction between the initial filter and any subsequent filters lies in the dropdown menu, which allows users to choose between "and" or "or." Selecting "and" will display results that meet all specified filter criteria, while choosing "or" will show results that meet at least one of the filter criteria.
    5. Users have two options for removing filters: they can either clear all filters at once or remove specific ones individually. To clear all filters, simply click the "Remove all" button. If you'd like to remove a specific filter, just click the "x" located on the left side of that filter row.Untitled design (19)
