Requesting a Palmetto LightReach Change Order

In this article:

When will a change order be needed?

In the Solo proposal, a change order may be needed when changes are made to a proposal that affect the system production (changes to shade, tilt, or azimuth, or if a new array is added). These changes may trigger a check for design validation, and the job will follow the normal design validation flow:

  • If the changes made are still within Palmetto LightReach's accepted variance range, then no change order will be needed.
  • If the changes made are outside of Palmetto LightReach's accepted variance range, then a change order button will appear on the proposal. This must be clicked from the Solo proposal for the change order to process correctly.

Changes to modeled production, system size, customer information, and other common scenarios may require a change order per the Palmetto LightReach process. View all applicable change events and notes in the Palmetto LightReach knowledge base HERE. For additional questions or assistance, contact the Palmetto LightReach support team via the chat option in the Palmetto LightReach knowledge base.

Design Change Orders

If you've already qualified for a Palmetto LightReach quote and need to make changes to the design, you can do so from the Solo proposal. On the same proposal that contains the approved Palmetto LightReach quote, make the desired adjustments to your Solo design.

The changes you make will trigger a check for design validation, and the job will follow the normal design validation flow:

  • If the changes made are still within Palmetto LightReach's accepted variance range, then no change order will be needed.
  • If the changes you made are outside of Palmetto LightReach's accepted variance range, then a change order button will appear on the proposal. This must be clicked from the Solo proposal for the change order to process correctly.

It is important that this process is done through the Solo proposal. If the quote is voided and adjusted from only the Palmetto LightReach portal, the customer will become out of sync with the Solo proposal which may cause errors.

Pricing Change Orders

Pricing change orders will need to be done through the Palmetto LightReach portal. Follow the Palmetto LightReach Change Order process HERE. This will allow you to void the current quote and contracts in Palmetto LightReach, which will remain synced with Solo. From there, you'll be able to re-qualify with the updated options or pricing from the Solo proposal.
