Purchasing and Managing Nearmap Imagery Credits

SolarNexus offers access to premium, high-resolution aerial imagery for site assessment and remote design through our partner Nearmap. See the Using Nearmap High Resolution Imagery article for details on how to select and use Nearmap imagery on your leads and projects.

Nearmap imagery is a premium add-on service. You must purchase Nearmap imagery credits in order for the users in your SolarNexus account to be able to access Nearmap imagery on their projects.

Nearmap Settings

To buy credits and manage settings, go to Administration > Project Settings > Nearmap Settings. 

Purchasing Credits

The Credits section shows you how many credits you currently have in your account:

Click Buy Credits to purchase a bundle of credits. Nearmap imagery for a single site costs 1 credit.

The credits will be immediately charged to the card associated with your SolarNexus subscription.

If you want SolarNexus to automatically replenish your Nearmap credits when they run low, check the "Automatically Replenish Credits" box. You can change your auto-replenish settings at any time from the main Nearmap settings screen.

NOTE: You can find a record of all Nearmap charges on your recent billing statements under Administration > Subscription.

Spending Credits

If you want to allow ALL users in your account to spend credits to purchase Nearmap imagery for their projects, edit the settings and check the corresponding box. Otherwise, you can select the subset of users who are authorized to spend credits.

Unauthorized users will not be able to purchase Nearmap imagery for projects, but they will be able to use Nearmap imagery that has already been purchased.

NOTE: Administrative users are always allowed to spend credits.

Tracking Usage

To help you keep tabs on Nearmap usage, the Nearmap Settings page shows you the recent projects where users have purchased Nearmap imagery. It also shows a list of the top Nearmap users in your account. You can use the Recent Projects list to quickly find examples of the Nearmap imagery being used on your jobs.

FAQ

If I buy credits and don't use them all, will they expire?

No, Nearmap credits do not expire. You may continue to use them as long as your SolarNexus subscription remains active.
