2021-06-26 Release Notes

• New UI Layout for Site Definition - Update layout to take advantage of wider UI released earlier in year. Benefits include removal of necessity to scroll, better visibility of controls, and smoother workflow. New slope input control, which auto-populates the same slope value used for first roof area to subsequent roof areas, speeding up creation of areas.
• New UI Layout for Arrays Editor - Update layout to take advantage of wider UI released earlier in year. Benefits include removal of necessity to scroll, better visibility of controls, and smoother workflow. Simplified customization of individual arrays by allowing toggling of module color fill and disabling movement of area vertices while removing/adding modules from an array.
• Cost Breakdown by Service shown for all finance options on Analysis screen: Instead of just seeing individual price breakdown by service on the primary finance option, shows for all options defined.
• API Enhancements:
  • Added follow up date for deferred jobs in /jobs/id output to enable showing deferred jobs with the title "ON HOLD UNTIL" with a date.
  • Added "enabled" attribute to project_milestones to assist with proper display of current milestones (current milestones have enabled=true, upcoming=false and completed_at blank.)
  • API updates for completing solution specific milestones (complete by milestone ID).
• Bug fixes and minor improvements:
  • Added secondary predecessor into to Milestones-Display Order view.
  • Updated hyperlink color to increase contrast
  • Fixed issue with secondary predecessor not being enforced, when the secondary predecessor itself had its own secondary predecessor that it was waiting on.
  • Fixed issue with current project's milestone relevance after a solution is revised. Job had milestone for ESS service, ESS service removed from solution during a revision, when revision was approved, ESS milestone remained. Now system re-evaluates current milestone relevance when a solution is revised.
  • Fixed issue with milestone continuity fixer after a milestone definition deletion where next common path milestone has secondary predecessors - for jobs with current instance of the deleted milestone, SolarNexus was failing to instantiate a relevant non-common path milestone that is a secondary predecessor to the next common path milestone, leaving job with no milestones.
  • Fixed small UI update issue in milestone editor when secondary predecessors are defined, the values shown were being shown as updated to the same value.
  • Issue with thumbnail of sample PDFs for SolarNexus templates resolved.
  • Fixed issue with cancel button not appearing after a job had been deferred.
  • Fixed UI formatting issues on Workgroup screen.
  • Improved querying for project log events.
  • Fixed error updating product selections.
  • Fixed issue with thermal array layouts disappearing from the service after user deletes a second instance of thermal panel from the service (confused SolarNexus by having two instances of a thermal panel). Solution is to only delete layout after last thermal panel is removed from service.

2021-05-06 Release Notes

• Reassign Sales Owner when Reassigning a Pre-Sale Milestone - When editing a pre-sale milestone (status, assigned user, or schedule), users with Administrative or Sales Management permissions can now also reassign the (Sales) Owner for the Project in the same dialog. This is particularly valuable when reassigning sales appointments - as you want to change the owner of the appointment AND the sales owner at the same time. This new feature is available when editing a milestone from anyplace you can edit a pre-sale milestone, including the Sales screen, Tasks screen (list or calendar view), or within a job's workspace.
• Use Rules to Auto-Assign a Milestone - Rather than having to rely on using job roles to assign milestones based on business rules, each milestone can optionally select an assigned user by defining business rules.
• Optionally Output Price Breakdown per Service - For contracts, SolarNexus is now able to provide an itemized price for each service included in your solution. This is particularly useful when you work in jurisdictions with incentive applications that require solar and battery prices to be itemized and separate. Discounts, finance fees, and incentives applied to contract price are prorated to each service prorate for which it applies.
• Annual kWh Total and Max Demand Values Displayed when Using Green Button to Define Energy Use - Now when you upload a Green Button data file to define the customer's historic electric use, SolarNexus displays the date-time of the maximum hourly use during the year as well as the total kWhs for the year. These details are required for some ESS incentive programs.
• Segregate Email Document Templates by Intended Use - Each Email document template can now be assigned for use in automated customer updates when a milestone is completed, or for use by a user to sending a document to a customer from the Docs screen. When user sends an email he will only be able to see email templates intended for that use. This helps avoid users accidentally using the wrong email.
• Bug fixes and minor improvements:
  • Upgrade to PDF Generation Software - Latest version fixes issue with image sizing in documents.
  • Improved search function - Results for partial string searches have been made more robost.
  • Modified UI for Scheduled Event milestones to clarify optional definition of a default duration.
  • Modified SolarNexus Defined Doc Templates screen to remove extra action icons. Now to create a copy of an existing SolarNexus template, you use the Add Template button.
  • Fixed issue with completion of a milestone via API - System now enforces completion of all checklist items before the milestone can be completed.
  • Fixed issue with adding a PV system to a solution revision that did not originally specify a pv system.
  • Fixed issue where revised solution price used $/Wstc when base solution used a fixed dollar amount.

2021-04-23 Release Notes

• Updated Tasks section of the Job's Management Panel  - Simplified presentation and operation of Job milestones and subtasks. Renamed "Status" section to "Tasks". Removed other Management Panel section called "Additional Tasks/Issues." Added "Other Tasks/Issues" as a card in the Tasks section. Centralized adding all ad-hoc tasks via single Add Task control.
• Job Milestone "Fixer" - User with administrative permissions can manually instantiate newly defined successors to an already completed milestone on a job.
• Enhancements to SolarNexus application event system -Provides enhanced event data for SolarNexus internal use.
• Bug fixes and minor improvements:
  • Upgraded Ruby version.
  • Fixed issue with PV system production showing different total annual values (sum of months vs annual total).
  • Fixed issue with solution requiring specification of an inverter even though the solution didn't include a PV System.
  • Fixed an issue with individual jobs not properly ignoring secondary predecessors that were added to the process definition after the job was already processed past that point in the process.
  • Fixed an issue with a separate error stopping proper propagation of job milestones on completion of a milestone.
  • Improve handling of invalid data submitted by external lead forms.
  • Fixed UI display issue with incentives.
  • Fixed API search exception issue.
  • Fixed display issue with Archive button following milestone uncompletion.
  • Fixed issue with bulk milestone completion on Tasks screen.

• Modernized user interface thoughout the entire application - Total implementation of re-designed UI to clarify data and simplify usability.
• API Buildout - Continue updates to API for supporting mobile app:
  • allow full date/time strings for milestone completion posts.
• Bug fixes and minor improvements:
  • Fixed an issue with re-calculating a loan's fees after the loan's administered configuration was changed.
  • Fixed issue with Apple computers not seeing Referrer field presented when "Referral" initially selected as lead source on new lead form.
  • Fixed error when emailing particular milestone completion notifications.
  • Fixed issue with a scheduled date appearing incorrectly for a re-activated job on the Installs screen.
