Please note: the use of "Owner" and "Admin" in this article refers to users with a primary role of SAAS Owner or SAAS Admin.
This account structure is a great choice for installers or companies with teams in multiple states or regions. It includes a master account (typically the installer) and several sub-accounts (the sales channel partners or dealers).
Characteristics of this model include:
Master Account
- Owners and admins under the master account can see all data from both the master account and all sub-accounts.
- Owners within the master account can adjust the MissionControl settings of the master or any sub-account at any time.
- Billing for all accounts (both master and sub) is assessed on the master account.
- The master account can house non-owner users and create customers, if needed.
- Owners and admins under the master can request an additional sub-account at any time, using our company updates form.
Sub-Account(s)
- Users live within the sub-account, with all visibility restricted the sub-account they're under.
- Each user will only have access to the customers they are assigned to, though the same permissions per user still exist (i.e. owners of a sub can view all data within the sub, but sales reps can only view their customers).
- Customers and customer data will be housed within the sub-account they were created under, assigned to the rep who created the customer.
- Sub-accounts can be customized via MissionControl by an owner of the master or an owner of the sub-account. This includes equipment, colors and logo, finance, adders, and more!
- 'Allowed States' can be applied to the sub-account, restricting what states your users can create customers within. For example, if a sub-account only operates in TX, a customer whose address is in NV could not be created under this account.
