How to Access the Production Details

The Production Details section of the proposal provides insight into the system's projected production and each panel's solar access and irradiance information. Click below to learn more:

Accessing the Production Details

  1. On the Design Page,  open the editor by clicking "Edit".
  2. In the top right, open the "Details" menu, and click the "Product" tab.
  3. Click "Production Details"

  4. The production profile will display the annual values, monthly production values, horizon profile, and lifetime production, giving you an overview of the system's yearly production.
    1. Jump to this section to learn more about these metrics.

  5. Click into "Shade Metrics" to see key performance metrics, including irradiance, solar access, TOF, and TSRF.
  6. For each array, open the dropdown to see additional details per-panel, including solar access and irradiance values over time. By reviewing these insights, you can evaluate panel performance and easily deactivate any panels that are underperforming with a simple click.

Understanding Production Graphs

Inside the Production Details modal, there are three graphs. Below, we will show what the graphs look like in the proposal,  what the graph is showing, and how to read the graphs.

Production kWh

The Production kWh graph will appear as a bar graph and include each month's amount of produced kWh.

Horizon Profile

The Horizon Profile graph shows how the sun path relative to the horizon (blue line) and the sun’s path across seasons (rainbow and curved blue/purple lines) — in June (summer), March (spring/fall), and December (winter).

This chart is great to check to see if the sun dips behind the blue line. If the sun does dip below the blue line & shading does occur, this will reduce solar energy production.

Lifetime Production

The Lifetime Production graph will show the total amount of kWh production for each year after installation.
