How used?

If you have existing leads that have not progressed substantially through your existing systems, they should be input into SolarNexus. The SolarNexus lead import feature that allows a batch of new leads to be imported from a CSV file.

DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE to import COMPLETED PROJECTS, or SOLD and IN-PROGRESS Projects. We provide separate import features for each of those (Import completed projects, Import Sold & In-Progress Projects) so that all your customers can be managed from within SolarNexus.

To import leads, select Lead and Project Data from the Administration menu. Click on the Import button in the Import Leads and Projects section. From here you can download a sample CSV document that provides the format you need as well as a document that details the formats of each field.

You may need to export data from existing systems, and then manipulate the data so that it is in the format necessary to import it into SolarNexus.

Imported leads will be visible on the Installs screen following import.  Newly imported leads should be assigned to sales owners as appropriate.

TIP: Try import with a very small number of leads initially. This can quickly identify data quality issues so that you can fix them in your larger file before bogging down the system trying to process a large amount of improperly formatted data.

How SolarNexus Handles Duplicate Project Records

If SolarNexus detects a that a record being imported is a duplicate of an existing project, it skips importing that record, and provides a list of duplicates found in the file you are trying to import. The New Lead import function considers a duplicate record to be the same site address and customer name. If a duplicate customer record is already found in SolarNexus (if the contact name/email already exists), SolarNexus adds a new project for that already existing customer/contact.
