How can we request a post-install letter?

Some jurisdictions require a letter that is signed by the engineer, confirming that the system was installed according to the CAD plans that they stamped. This is called the Post Install Letter.

  1. Fill out our Post Install Letter Checklist. This ensures that all required elements of the letter are accounted for. Redirect to post letter checklist.

  2. Request a revision with the reason “CAD Layout Change”. For a step by step on requesting a revision, you can use this article HERE.

    1. You can upload the post installation checklist under New Layout or in the files tab with the post installation photos.

  3. Upload the required post-installation photos including:

    1. Spacing between attachments and spacing between rows:

    2. Placement with and without panels:

    3. Bracket Attachment:

    4. Fastener used:

    5. Overall picture of the layout confirming bracket staggering.

    6. Interior Attic Space

    7. Specified Torque

    8. Lag bold embedment

    9. Pictures confirming the brackets were spaced correctly

Don’t forget to upload the filled out post install checklist either in the revision request or in Files with the other post-install photos!
