How to Edit a Finance Option
Owner feature only!
In MissionControl, you're able to customize how each finance option appears and behaves on your solar proposals.
- To edit an option, open the MissionControl portal and navigate to the Finance Options section.

- Open the dropdown for the lender whose option you'd like to edit. Then click the pencil icon.

You will then be able to edit your finance option. This includes the ability to edit the following:
- Custom Display Name
- Portal Link
- Dealer Fees
- Lender Premium
- Disclaimer
- Live & Expiration Dates
- States the option is available in
Click the links above to jump to the relevant section of this article.
Please Note: The following fields will not be editable for integrated finance options.
- Dealer Fee (see Lender Premium)
- Disclaimer
- Allowed States
To make changes to these fields for those options, you'll need to reach out to the lender directly.
Custom Display Name
An option's Custom Display Name will override the name the option appears with on the solar proposal. If left empty, the option will use the name that appears in the system, which will always be visible in the top left.

This is different from a Docs Custom Display Name, which is found in other areas of MissionControl. Learn more about display name options in this article!
Portal Link
A portal link can be added to options under a non-integrated lender and will allow those options to populate a 'Qualify' button when selected on the proposal.

When a Portal Link is entered in MissionControl, the qualify button will act as a hyperlink to the URL entered in that field.

This can be useful in allowing your reps to jump directly to the lender's portal to qualify the homeowner without too much hassle.
It is important to keep in mind that if Solo does not integrate directly with the lender, our payments on the proposal may differ slightly from the payments shown in your portal. Any lender that is not integrated with Solo will only be available through Solo as a generic list of finance options and cannot be made specifically for your company. If you believe our generic list is incorrect, please contact our support team and we would be happy to reach out to the lender directly to ensure these options are within a few dollars of what their portal states.
Lender Premium
This will only be visible on options pulled through a finance integration.
For integrated lenders, dealer fees will be pulled directly from the lender portal, via ContinuousSync. The dealer fee pulled from the lender portal will not be editable, and will be greyed out.
Lender Premium allows you to add an additional percentage on to the lender's dealer fee, resulting in a Total Fee that will be used on the proposal. For example, the dealer fee synced from the lender portal may be 29.24%, but by adding a 2% premium, the total dealer fee on the proposal will be 31.24%.

In the finance option editor, this will be broken down into three fields:
- Dealer Fee API - This is the dealer fee being pulled through the integration, directly from the lender's portal.
- Premium (%) - The additional percentage that will be added on top of the lender dealer fee.
- Total Fees (%) - The combined total of the lender dealer fee and the additional percentage added via lender premium. This is the dealer fee that will be used on the proposal.
Lender Premiums can be added one of two ways. The first is in the individual option editor:

The second is for all options under a particular lender:

Disclaimer
Adding text to the 'Disclaimer' field will populate that text on the proposal, at the bottom of the finance page, when the option is selected.

Live Since & Expiration Dates
Live and expiration dates allow you to control when/what proposals an option appears for.
- Live Since: Proposals made on or after this date/time will show the option.
- Expiration Date: Proposals made on or after this date will NOT show the option. Leave this empty if you'd like the option to appear indefinitely.

Allowed States
This section allows you to control which states the option appears in. This will reference the state that the customer/proposal is located in. This can be done one of two ways:
- Include States: This will make the option only appear in the states you select, and not appear in the rest.
- Exclude States: This will make the option appear in all states except the states you select.
Once you select whether you want to include or exclude states, use the 'Choose States' dropdown to select which states the option will appear/not appear in.

NOTE: If there are already states in the live in/excluded in fields, and the field is greyed out, those have been set by the lender. You will need to reach out to the lender directly to make changes to the option's allowed states.
Saving Your Changes
Once you make your desired updates, don't forget to click 'Update'! Once you've made your changes to all options you wanted to edit, use the 'Save Finance Changes' button in the bottom to publish!

If you'd like to review your changes, you can click 'View Example Proposal' in the bottom left.
