Optimization Settings

Once a battery is selected, you can customize what is visible using the toggle options. Within the top menu, you can adjust:

Savings

If toggled OFF the 'Total Estimated Savings' info at the bottom of the page will be hidden.

Evening Usage & Average Slider

When the evening usage toggle is enabled, an 'Average' dropdown will appear. This allows you to determine what your customer's evening usage level is. After expanding the usage dropdown, drag the slider according to the homeowner's lifestyle/required usage. For example, if a homeowner charges their EV in the evening, move the slider towards the use more/use much more options.

Since batteries are often discharged during these hours, this will help determine the recommended capacity for your customer's battery needs.

To hide both of these settings, use the arrow on the left side.

BattOptHub_CollapseSavingsToggles

This will not hide the backup reserve, backup calculator, or advanced settings.

Owners: These toggles can be hidden for all proposals/users. If you'd to configure this, please contact your account manager or Customer Support.

Specs & Recommendations

Specs

In the bottom right of the page there are capacity and power specifications. These are specific to the battery you have selected and the quantity of batteries you've chosen. The values for both Capacity and Rated/Peak Powers are pulled from the manufacturer's spec sheet for the battery.

Rated Power and Peak Power can be hidden using the 'Show Specs' toggle. This will not hide the battery capacity.

Recommendations

These are the recommended battery specs that are given based off of your customer's usage, their evening usage, backup and optimization mode, and more. A recommendation will be provided for battery capacity, rated power, and peak power.

These can be hidden using the 'Show Recommendations' toggle.

Operation Settings & Advanced Settings

Depending on how your customer is planning on using their battery, you can change the operation mode, which will change how the battery prioritizes charging and discharging. This will effect the savings you see on this page and the breakdown of charge/discharge in the advanced settings.

To select the operation mode, open the page settings from the top toolbar:

Backup Options

Whether or not backup is available for the selected battery and quantity is dependent on your company's pricing configuration. If your company does not offer backup or non-backup for an option, that will be reflected in the toggle under 'Selected Battery'.

If you have 'Battery Backup Included' toggled ON, you'll have access to update the Backup Reserve % and to use the Backup Calculator

The Backup Calculator can be used to determine the recommended battery capacity and reserve percentage.

Backup Reserve % refers to the percentage of battery capacity that the customer would like to hold for backup. This can be adjusted using the dropdown slider in the top menu:
