What's New
What is a DXF File?
A DXF file (Drawing Exchange Format) is a type of file used to share drawings in 2D or 3D. These files represent data as lines, which makes them great for creating detailed designs, like homes or solar systems. Engineers, architects, and designers commonly use them.
DXF files make it easier to share designs between different programs, like AutoCAD or CorelDRAW. With Solo, users can download a home design, share it with their engineering teams, and use it for permit applications.
For Planset Designers, using DXF files saves time. Instead of having to manually copy the site plan onto a proposal, they can just import the plan directly from the DXF file. This helps ensure the site plan matches exactly, eliminating any discrepancies and enhancing the overall design process.
