# What is TOF?

TOF, or Tilt and Orientation Factor, refers to the alignment of solar panels in relation to the sun's position, encompassing both the tilt of the panel and the direction the panel is facing. TOF is crucial for maximizing the efficiency of solar panels by ensuring they receive the maximum possible sunlight throughout the year, directly influencing the system's overall energy output and efficiency.
